Changes to the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 

Fair Work Australia (FWA) has made an Order on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.  The FWA decision is to delete the Disability Services Sector Definition and Classification from the Award and to incorporate them into the Social and Community Services Sector Definition and Classifications.  Click on the following for a outline of the Order. 

Modern Awards are Completed

From the 1 January 2010, the new Modern awards will begin.  ACSEA has downloaded the relevant awards for our members.  These can be find in the Members Only section and click on Modern Awards. The new Pay Rates will be available shortly.

Who is moving into the National Industrial Relations System

From 1 January 2010, all States and Territories (except WA) private sector employers will be national system employers, and of cause their employees will also be in the national system.  They will have access to the same set of rules about terms and conditions of employment, the making of enterprise agreements and unfair dismissal rules and businesses in the national system.

Modern Award Update
