Workplace Harassment Awareness Training

In today’s ever increasingly litigious society Employers can be found responsible (and sued) for the actions of any person within their employ. This course, designed for everyone from owners through to employees, demonstrates how harassment can be identified, rectified and managed to avoid potential problems. Ensure that you and all your staff understand and can recognize incidents of Workplace Harassment.

This seminar provides participants with an understanding of the issues pertaining to Workplace and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. This seminar is designed for Managers, Supervisors, Employees, Committee Members, and Owners who need to be aware of legislative requirements and provide accurate advice on harassment issues.

Completing this program will enable participants to;

  • Understand the employment related areas of the Queensland Anti Discrimination Workplace and Sexual Harassment Legislation;
  • Identify what constitutes Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace;
  • Understand the vicarious liability of Employers, including the provisions and implications;
  • Devise and implement Policies, Procedures and Communications on Discrimination Issues;
  • Manage complaints on harassment issues.

More and more claims on Discrimination and Harassment are being filed every year. Having a policy is not enough, organisations, particularly community based ones, must ensure that all staff understand how the laws for prevention of Workplace Harassment apply in the Workplace.
